期限ぎりぎりに近いWindows 2000 も含めて、延長サポートの最後まで Microsoft Update がカバーしてくれるようです。
現状は、
> 延長サポートの最初の 2 年間は、Windows Updateより提供されます。(適用可能な場合)
> 延長サポート期間の 3 年目以降は、マイクロソフト ダウンロード センター から提供されます。(適用可能な場合)
となっていました。
他、延長等あったようです。

Security Update Download Process
